The misunderstanding of the pvc flooring

2020-07-15

PVC flooring has a history of 100 years in Europe and 70 years in Southeast Asia. Due to its superior performance and environmental protection, it has generally replaced ceramic tiles and wooden floors in developed countries and has become the first choice for ground materials. It entered my country in the 1990s and is now popular in the southeast coast and developed cities.

However, there are still many people who do not understand PVC flooring very well and have misunderstandings about PVC flooring. The following are several common misunderstandings about PVC flooring.

1.PVC floor is plastic floor, not fireproof?

The main raw material of PVC flooring is polyvinyl chloride and additives, which are made through strict processing. And passed the national fire detection level (PVC floor is B1 level), is a real fire protection material. The fire protection index of qualified PVC floor can reach B1 level, second only to stone.

The smoke produced by high-quality PVC floor when it is passively ignited will definitely not harm the human body, nor will it produce toxic and harmful gases that cause breathing (According to the figures provided by the security department: 95% of the people injured in the fire are Due to toxic fumes and gases produced during combustion).

2.PVC floor has odor and is not environmentally friendly?

The main raw material for the production of PVC flooring is polyvinyl chloride, which is an environmentally friendly and non-toxic renewable resource. It has been widely used in people's daily life, such as tableware, medical infusion tube bags, etc., its environmental protection is not necessary worried.

The PVC material itself is formaldehyde-free, and the use of formaldehyde is not allowed in the production process of PVC floors, which will not cause harm to people's bodies and make people uncomfortable.

At present, some PVC floors on the market are produced by glue bonding. Because some glue contains formaldehyde, such floors have a pungent odor, which will affect people's health.

3.PVC floor is not suitable for floor heating?

The PVC floor is bonded by a special treatment process, and the product has excellent dimensional stability. It is suitable for thermal expansion and contraction of the floor. Even if it is used on the floor with high humidity, it will not be deformed and can maintain its original state for a long time. Therefore, PVC floor is the most suitable floor for floor heating.

Deformation due to heating and damp: After heating with boiling water for 6 hours, store at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Experimental results: PVC floor has no change, composite floor is deformed and layered.

Stability: After placing the floor in an oven at 80 degrees for 6 hours, take it out and let it stand at normal temperature for 1 hour, and then determine the longitudinal change rate (%) of the test sample.

Experimental results: The longitudinal change rate of the floor is 0.08%, and the horizontal direction is 0.06%; the reinforced floor is 0.36% and 0.28%, respectively.

4.Plastic floor with color difference is poor quality?

The industry pointed out that there are reasons for the occurrence of "color difference": due to the different raw materials, temperature, batches, etc., each batch, the color of the plastic floor of each color number is different, this situation is what we usually mean Refers to the color difference. Therefore, consumers should try to choose the same batch of the same color plastic floor when buying.

The above are some common misunderstandings about PVC flooring. Now you can use PVC flooring with confidence! With the widespread use of PVC flooring in my country, I believe more and more people will correctly understand plastic flooring!
